Dieters Perform Poorly

A research project from the University of Nevada have found that in comparing people who maintain weight over a long period of time with those who tend to regain lost weight, one characteristic stands out. Those who fail to keep their weight down are more likely to engage in dieting.

This has been supported by other studies which suggest that the people who best maintain large weight losses over an extended period are those who (a) have a lifetime eating plan, working to the 80/20 rules, good 80% of time and not so good 20% and making good choices (b) participate regularly in moderate intensity levels of exercise and (c) have effective methods of dealing with stress. -Adam
