In 2001 I completed my Exercise Science degree at the Central Institute of Technology (New Zealand) and in the past 10 years have worked as a Personal Trainer in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. In that time I have gained a wealth of knowledge in all facets of the fitness industry and use this knowledge and experience to give all my clients the best training advice and techniques. I have worked with clients with muscular-skeletal abnormalities to Athletes, celebrities to Jo average and can honestly say that I have enjoyed every minute of it.
My own training experiences started when I was 15 and wanted to get stronger to play rugby. From this point onward I was always fascinated by the human body and its amazing ability to adapt to training stimulus. I have played Rugby to a high standard and have put my body through the physical requirements of a full contact sport. I have completed two Tough Guy winter runs which was completely different training stimulus to Rugby but no less grueling. I have played competitive Touch Rugby and last year played and won Tournaments in Paris and London. Again completely different physical requirements thus the training was different. The list of races I have completed is long. It’s about the challenge which is what I love; whether training a client or myself.
Having pushed my body through its own transformations I can say with complete conviction that I know what works and what doesn’t when it comes to changing the shape and/or performance of the human body. My philosophy is pretty simple. Start off with the basics and build clients from the CORE up. When the CORE is strong enough anyone of any age or ability can perform any movement. Where training mimics life’s movement.
I have assembled a team of trainers who compliment my philosophy and between us we strive to make each and every client better. Not just physically but mentally. And we do this in the shortest space of time with fun, varying workouts that suit you. You will have a team of specialists looking after your every need so you will never feel like just another number for the day like you can with solo Personal Trainers. All the trainers at Invigorate are degree qualified or have studied for 3 years or more which means that you are provided with the best training techniques, nutritional information and advice, injury rehabilitation and after service care. With over 20 years of training experience combined, you can be assured that no goal is too big or too small, and that your safety and enjoyment is of paramount concern to us.
You can have 1 PT or you can have a team of PT’s. The decision is yours.

I have trained twice a week at Invigorate since May 2008. I really enjoy the sessions and find them well structured with good balance between aerobic and strength training.
